Integrative counselling tailored to you

A calm, confidential space where you can be exactly as you are — without judgement, pressure, or expectation.

About me

I’m an integrative counsellor, which means I draw on different approaches depending on what you need — rather than using a one-size-fits-all model.

Together we’ll look at what’s happening for you in the present, while also making sense of any patterns or experiences that may be shaping how you feel. I’ll support you with warmth, care, and practical insight, always at a pace that feels manageable.

Sessions are currently available online.

Supporting change through understanding and compassion

Starting therapy can feel like a big step — especially if you’re used to coping on your own. You don’t need to arrive with a clear plan or the right words.

At Therapy Barn, I offer a calm, confidential space where you can speak freely and be met with warmth and understanding. We’ll take things at your pace, focusing on what feels most important for you.

What brings people to therapy?

People come to therapy for many different reasons. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply unsure why things don’t feel as settled as they once did.

  • Addiction or concerns around substance use
  • Low mood or depression
  • Stress, burnout, or feeling constantly under pressure
  • Difficulties with relationships or boundaries
  • Anxiety or persistent worry
  • Obsessive thoughts or compulsive behaviours
  • Bereavement, loss, or significant life changes

You don’t need to fit into a category to benefit from therapy. If something doesn’t feel quite right, that’s reason enough to explore it.

How I work

I work with adults and offer a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental space where you can explore what’s going on for you at your own pace. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we work together towards meaningful and lasting change.

I believe effective therapy supports greater self-understanding, emotional balance, and healthier relationships. My approach is grounded and thoughtful, with a focus on helping you feel more at ease with yourself and your life. I see it as a privilege when someone chooses to share their experiences with me, and I hold this with care and respect.

Experience and specialism

I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I am working towards a Level 5 accreditation.

Addiction is a core focus of my practice — I've worked as a counsellor within an addiction recovery service and volunteered with the Addiction Treatment Programme at The Priory Hospital.

I support clients with recovery goals alongside related trauma, helping them understand the psychological and physical processes behind addiction to reduce shame and build sustainable change.

Before retraining, I spent years as a broker in the City of London. I know first-hand how high-pressure environments can lead to burnout, anxiety, and disconnection — and I bring that understanding into my work.

Whatever you bring to the room, I'm here to offer a thoughtful, supportive space to work towards greater clarity and wellbeing.

What to expect

Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting. To help make this easier, I offer a free initial phone consultation where you can ask questions and share a little about what’s bringing you to therapy. This conversation is informal and there’s no obligation to continue.

In the first sessions, we will talk through what has brought you to therapy, what you are hoping for, and any questions or concerns you may have. This helps us decide together how best to work and whether my approach feels right for you.

Counselling is offered within a clear therapeutic contract, which outlines confidentiality and its limits, session structure, fees, and cancellation arrangements.

Sessions are currently offered online via Zoom.

Professional practice

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and Addiction Professionals, and I work in line with their ethical frameworks.

I value the importance of regular clinical supervision, which I undertake in accordance with BACP and NCPS requirements to support safe and reflective practice. I am committed to ongoing professional development and continually engage in CPD to deepen my understanding and enhance the quality of my work with clients.
